YOUTH GROUP NEWS

MPC Youth will not meet today, Jan. 1. On Jan. 8, the youth will look at resolutions for the new year from 5-7 p.m.

The church office will be closed Mon., Jan. 2 in observance of the New Year’s holiday.

UNDECKING CREW OPPORTUNITY

Please help us un-decorate our sanctuary tomorrow, Jan. 2 from 9-12 noon or Tues., Jan. 3 from 9-12 noon. Un-decking is faster, requires less talent than decorating, and you can still serve in this important aspect of life at Morningside. SHEARITH ISRAEL

MPC will provide overnight volunteers to support the SIS women’s shelter in January (7-16). Volunteers stay at the shelter 6 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. Help us fill the remaining evenings which begin this Friday. BIBLE SERIES

Class will resume next Sun., Jan. 8 with a study of the Pauline letters, starting with Paul's letter to the Romans, which is one of the hallmarks of his writings. Class begins at 9:45 a.m. in Room 107. All are welcome.

FELLOWSHIP IN JANUARY

MPC pilgrims to Haiti will share about their October trip during Fellowship Hour next Sun., Jan. 8. Come hear about their experiences.

RETHINKING WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

The women of Morningside and friends from around the neighborhood and the city are invited to join Joanna Adams in a new Bible Study beginning in January.  Mark your calendars for: Jan. 11, Feb. 8, Mar. 14, Apr. 11, May 9, and June 20. Bible study brochures with more information are available in the Narthex and Welcome Center.  The class will meet in Room 201 at 10 a.m. Childcare provided by reservation. HELPING WITH TODDLERS & TWOS

We are seeking volunteers to assist with toddler/twos childcare on Sunday mornings.  Arrive at 10:45 to help Ms. Pat with the little ones.  Contact shepherd Georgia Moore gacr72@yahoo.com if you would be able to help once a quarter.

FOOD NEEDED YEAR ROUND

This month, we will collect pop-top foods, non-perishable microwave meals and can-openers to stock the food pantry at Intown Collaborative Ministries.
