ADULT: We continue our study of the curriculum “Feasting on the Word.” This week’s leader is Ken Sharpe. The class meets at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201.

BIBLE STUDY: We continue our study of the Pauline letters. Class begins at 9:45 a.m. in Room 107.

CHILDRE
N: Preschool children will learn how Jesus helped a man who couldn’t walk as they listen to Get Up and Walk! Early Elementary Classes will hear how Jesus welcomed children with love.

Today is the last day to contribute a $10 gift card to the women staying at the Shearith Israel Shelter for Valentine’s Day (Kroger, Publix, CVS, and Target). Please drop your gift cards in the Valentine’s bag located on the Mission bulletin board.

THE CAT SCAN SURVEY CLOSES THIS FRIDAY!!

OPPORTUNITIES TO GATHER WITH MORNINGSIDE FAMILY

THEOLOGY ON TAP
Morningside’s men’s group, Theology on Tap, will meet tonight, February 7 at 7 p.m. at the home of Greg Morton (2973 West Roxboro Rd.). The night’s program, led by Baron Mullis, will be “Do Presbyterians testify? The importance of talking about our faith.” RSVP to the church office office@morningsidepc.org.

RETHINKING WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS
This Wednesday, February 8, Morningside women and their friends are invited to join Joanna Adams in a Bible Study focused on “Does the God of the Bible have a split personality?” The class meets in Room 201 at 10 a.m. Contact Anna Best office@morningsidepc.org to make your child care reservation.

LYDIA CIRCLE
Lydia Circle, a group of young female professionals and moms, welcomes MPC members and visitors to join them this Thursday, February 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. RSVP to Tara Parrish taraparrish@bellsouth.net or for more information.

COUPLES GROUP
Come for an early Valentines Day celebration with other MPC couples at the Bremers’ home (785 Cumberland Rd., 30306) this Friday, February 10 at 7 p.m. Hors d'oevres and the main dish will be taken care of, so bring a side or dessert and a favorite beverage. MPP 10TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY
This Saturday, February 11, at 7:30 p.m. Morningside’s Preschool will celebrate their 10th anniversary at Druid Hills Golf Club, and you’re invited! For the ticket price of $50 you will receive a lavish selection of hors d’oeuvres and complimentary valet. A live auction begins at 9:30 p.m. (cocktail attire; fully-stocked cash bar). HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
MPC, along with other area churches, will be building a home in the Thomasville Heights neighborhood of Atlanta for a Liberian family. Volunteers are needed for the build dates-February 18 through the end of March. Look for the signup sheets on the Habitat bulletin board or contact Lynsley Tyler (lynsley@bellsouth.net). A lunch provider is also needed for the March 17 build date.

Nell Roberts and Gene and John Turner on the death of Richard Batt, son-in-law and brother-in-law, on Friday, February 3 in St. Louis, Missouri.
