Adult Class, Room 201 - This Sunday we will have a thematic break while Chris Peters serves as Co-Director for the Montreat Youth Conferences. Sunday School will continue to meet using the "Feasting on the Word" curriculum.
Children: Today the Preschool children will hear the story Lions Lions and learn how God honored Daniel's faithfulness. K-2 children will learn that Josiah was named king when he was eight years old. As a grown-up king he restored the law and worship to the people of God.

BAPTISM THIS SUNDAY
James and Kate Scribner, son and daughter of Doug and Heather Scribner will receive the sacrament of baptism this Sunday.
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CHRIS PETERS?
Did you know that Chris Peters, our Youth Director and Summer Seminary Intern, will be a 2012 Montreat Youth Conference Co-Director? From July 17 to August 4, Chris will oversee small groups and recreation events during two weeks of youth conferences that will be attended by 2,000 high school youth! Chris invites you to follow his journey online through a picture blog administrated by Chris and Rev. Diana Bell, the "Indoors" Co-Director, at http://perfectlyomega.wordpress.com/.
GEORGIA JUSTICE PROJECT
Join other MPC volunteers in supporting the Back2School event this Saturday, July 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sign up to help with fun activities at Dunbar Gymnasium (477 Windsor St. SW, 30312). Contact Bill Meansbillmeans@bellsouth.net with any questions.
GEORGIA SHAKESPEARE OUTING
Illyria, 12th Night the Musical is a hit - a shipwreck, separated twins and love promise to entertain in this musical adaptation! MPC is off to the theater for a 7 p.m. performance this Sunday, July 22. Group tickets have been purchased; however, there is an extra ticket available. If you would like to attend, contact Melinda msandkam@morningsidepc.org.
MISSION CAMP VOLUNTEERS
We will have 33 children attending Mission Camp next week. We still need 2 drivers to transport the kids to our outreach destination on Friday from 12-3 p.m. Contact Melinda to volunteer msandkam@morningsidepc.org.
YOUTH NEWS
Don't forget to buy one of those $10 "stock" certificates from one of our youth planning to travel to the Montreat Middle School Conference in South Carolina this month. You will receive a report from the kids plus a hot-dog lunch on Sunday, August 5, after worship.
