Yoga Resumes
Atlanta native and Morningside member, Pam Sharpe, certified yoga teacher, is continuing her yoga classes this September. She is happy to offer a gentle yoga class at Morningside on Tuesday mornings this fall, beginning September 11. The class is open to Morningside members and friends. To register or for more information, contact Pam at yogapam@bellsouth.net.

Tai Chi Class Forming
Tai Chi is often called meditation in motion. Over three hundred years ago, Chinese martial artists developed softness as the most efficient way to move the body while maintaining balance. Medical research confirms benefits for people with stress, high blood pressure, arthritis, fibromyalgia and Parkinson’s disease, as well as preventing injury from falling among seniors. We will meet in Fellowship Hall on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. beginning September 11. The class will run for 8 weeks. Come give it a try. We think you’ll like it! For more information, contact Bob Wellswellscom@comcast.net

Lydia Circle
After taking a summer reprieve, Lydia Circle will start up again on Thursday, September 13. Lydia Circle, a group of young female professionals and moms, welcomes members and visitors of MPC to join them on the 13th from 7-9 p.m. at the home of Tamara Nix, 1732 N. Rock Springs, 30324).  Contact Tara Parrish to RSVP and for more information taraparrish@bellsouth.net.

Another Day at the Braves!
Please join us for a summer MPC outing at Turner Field! Jack Klotz has gotten us $15 seats in the upper box (on the shaded side) for Sunday, September 16, at 1:30 p.m. Seats include a choice of a commemorative Dale Murphy hat or shirt. Contact David and Katherine Johnston dmjohnst @gmail.com for tickets and more information.

Fall Mission Trip
We invite you to join us this fall as we work with Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans (an outreach of St. Charles Presbyterian Church). We will leave Atlanta Thursday morning, November 1, and return Sunday evening, November 4. The $150 trip cost includes housing for three nights (Brent House Hotel), dinner on Thursday, lunch on Friday and snacks.  If you are interested in participating in this trip, contact Roland Behm roland.behm@gmail.com (interest meeting September 9, 10:20 a.m., Room 107).

Sympathy
Our condolences to Anna and Gary Best on the death of Gary's father, Jack Best, on August 20. Please keep them in your prayers during this time of grief. A service for Mr. Best was in Louisville on Friday.

Congratulations
