9:45 a.m. Church School for all ages
Adult Class, Room 201 - This Sunday, our adult education class will take a Sabbath rest. Class will resume September 9.

Children: Preschool children will engage in hands-on activities about color and light as follow-up for Blue and Green and Purple Too! The Early Elementary class will study Psalm 148 as they praise God. Teachers will choose activities appropriate to each class. The Older Elementary class will experience a lesson on The Offering as a component of Worship.

LIBRARY WORK DAY 
Work continues on organizing library books in the Session Room. Contact Melinda Sandkam msandkam@morningsidepc.org to let her know you can join us thisWednesday, August 29, 10 a.m.-12 noon.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR KICKOFF
The choir year is about to kick off, and we would like to extend an invitation to your child to participate. Cherub Choir, boys and girls K-3rd, will begin practicing thisWednesday, August 29, 6-6:30 p.m. Treble Choir, boys and girls 4th grade and up, will start their practice the following Wednesday, September 5, 6:30-7:15 p.m. Contact Choir Coordinator, Tamara Nix tamaranix@yahoo.com with questions.

CHURCH OFFICE 
The church office will be closed Monday, September 3, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.  

THEOLOGY ON TAP 
Morningside men will resume their monthly get-togethers Tuesday, September 4, at 7 p.m. at the home of Todd McDonald, 835 Rowland St., Clarkston 30021, 404.408.7776. Baron Mullis will lead the discussion. RSVP to office@ morningsidepc.org by Monday, September 3.

CALLING ALL TALENT FOR MUSIC MINISTRY  
If you have ever thought about joining the Morningside Handbell Choir, now is a great time to join. The group plays at worship six times throughout the year and rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7-8 p.m. Please contact Jeff Peters with your interest or any questions jeffcpeters@gmail.com.  

FALL PREACHING SERIES
On Sunday, September 9, Baron Mullis will begin a preaching series entitled "Thinking Theologically About Modern Life." The series will continue through October 14 and will give us an opportunity to draw on the rich well of wisdom the Bible and our faith offer to aid us when life throws a curve-ball. Don't miss the post-sermon discussion in Room 201 each week at 12:30 p.m.  For more information, pick up a sermon series brochure available in the Narthex and the Welcome Center.

YOGA RESUMES
Pam Sharpe, Morningside member and certified yoga teacher, is continuing her yoga classes this September. She will offer a gentle yoga class at Morningside on Tuesday mornings this fall, beginning September 11. To register or for more information, contact Pam at yogapam@bellsouth.net.   

TAI CHI CLASS FORMING
We will meet in Fellowship Hall on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. beginning September 11. The class will run for 8 weeks. Come give it a try. We think you'll like it! For more information, contact Bob Wells wellscom@comcast.net

ANOTHER DAY AT THE BRAVES!
