We offer our thanks to Morningside’s Chancel Choir for their musical offerings this summer. Today they are enjoying a well-deserved day of rest. We welcome Jayme Alilaw as our guest soloist today Jayme is a regular member of the Atlanta Opera Chorus and will soon be performing in their production of Carmen, in November.

THEOLOGY ON TAP
Morningside men will resume their monthly get-togethers this Tuesday, September 4, 7 p.m. at the home of Todd McDonald, 835 Rowland St., Clarkston 30021, 404.408.7776. Baron Mullis will lead the discussion. RSVP to the church office office@morningsidepc.org by tomorrow.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
The children’s choir year has begun, and we would like to extend an invitation to your child to participate. Cherub Choir, K-3rd, began August 29, and continues on Wednesdays at 6-6:30 p.m. Treble Choir, 4th grade and up, will start their practice this Wednesday, September 5, 6:30-7:15 p.m. Contact Choir Coordinator, Tamara Nix tamaranix @yahoo.com with questions.
THINKING ABOUT JOINING MORNINGSIDE
Morningside will offer visitors the following opportunities to learn more about our church. On Sunday, September 9 we will hold an Inquirers Class followed by a New Members Class on Sunday, September 16. KIDS OUTREACH
Elementary grades 2nd-5th are invited to join in an outreach project at 10 a.m. next Sunday, September 9 in Room 001. We will prepare non-perishable lunches for the Brown Bag program of Cure Childhood Cancer.
YOGA RESUMES
Morningside member and certified yoga teacher Pam Sharpe is continuing her yoga classes this September. She is happy to offer a gentle yoga class at Morningside on Tuesday mornings this fall, beginning September 11. The class is open to Morningside members and friends. SEPTEMBER 15 MINGLE

TAI CHI CLASS FORMING
Tai Chi will meet in Fellowship Hall on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. beginning September 11. Medical research confirms benefits for people with stress, high blood pressure, arthritis, fibromyalgia and Parkinson’s disease, as well as preventing injury from falling among seniors. FALL MISSION TRIP
We invite you to join us this fall as we work with Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans (outreach of St. Charles Presbyterian Church). We will leave Atlanta Thursday morning, November 1, and return Sunday evening, November 4. The $150 trip cost includes housing for three nights, dinner on Thursday, lunch on Friday and snacks.
