9:45 a.m. Church School for all ages; New Member's Class
Adult Class - This Sunday, November 11, our class will be led by Drew Stockstill, and his topic will be "The Book of the Twelve:" The Voices of Israel's Prophets. Join Morningside's Adult Sunday School class as we explore the rich texts of ancient Israel's prophets.
Children: The Pre-K Class will hear Safe at Last and learn how God showed Moses how to bring the people to freedom. Early Elementary classes will study Psalm 18 as they discuss the idea that we can always rely on God. The Older Elementary class will learn about Proclamation as a component of Worship.

PDA, our denomination's disaster response agency, is already at work in the northeast to respond to the devastation of Sandy. If you wish to know more about PCUSA efforts in the northeast or to make a donation, please go to http://www.presbyterianmission.org/ministries/pda/who-we-are/.
ADVOCACY MEETING
The Presbytery's Public Advocacy Committee will offer a fall educational eventthis Thursday, November 8, 7:30 to 10 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian (3003 Howell Mill Road, 30327). Breakfast will be followed by discussion with leading advocates for the Affordable Care Act & Medicaid, Legislative Ethics Reform, and Criminal Justice Reform. COUPLES GROUP
Our Couples Group will meet at 7 p.m. this Friday, November 9, at the Northwood Country Club. RSVP to the Bremers kdbremer@bellsouth.net. All couples are welcome!

All are welcome at lunch following worship this Sunday, November 11. Suggested donation: $10, adult; $5, child.
MPC GIVES THANKS TO PRESCHOOL COMMUNITY
Our annual Thanksgiving Gathering will next Monday, November 12 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Join us for a free dinner with crafts, games, face painting and music by the Cherub Choir. We will kick-off our canned-food drive for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, so please bring non-perishable items to the dinner. Contact Jennifer James to RSVP or to volunteer for a shift atjennjames@comcast.net.

Philip Hawkins will host the Morningside men for their monthly get-together next Tuesday, November 13, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be at the home of his neighbor Robert Hicks (2332 Bry-Mar Drive, 30345). Baron Mullis will lead our discussion of "What are the ethics of aging?" (How do we care faithfully for those of advanced age in our midst, family and friends?) Morningside Presbyterian Preschool will host a Prospective Parent Open House on Thursday, November 15 at 9:15 a.m. Come meet our director, Sarah Tomaka, and parents who will give you the inside scoop on our popular preschool program.
