Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. -Abraham Lincoln

This Saturday, November 24 following Thanksgiving, MPC will order pizzas for the 30 men at Clifton as they enjoy football and a restful day. We need volunteers to provide salad and/or dessert for the meal. If you are able to, contact David Johnston dmjohnst@hotmail.com. We invite you to stay and enjoy fellowship with the men by also serving dinner!
YOUTH GROUP
This Sunday, November 25 the youth will take a break for Thanksgiving, returning December 2. Contact Chris Peters chrispeters@morningsidepc.org for information or to join the Youth mailing list.
WOMEN'S ROUNDTABLE
Women's Roundtable will meet next Monday, November 26 at the home of Lynn Young (277 The Prado, Atlanta 30309), from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Our speaker will be Amir Farokhi, Executive Director and Co-Founder of GeorgiaForward. RSVP to Kim Perez by Wednesday, November 21 at kimkperez@gmail.com.
FREE HOLIDAY BABYSITTING
Each year, MPC offers three hours of childcare to the families in our community as a holiday gift. Support this outreach by volunteering to help Monday, December 3, 4:40 to 8:15 p.m. Early volunteers will welcome over 75 kids but later volunteers are just as welcome to serve as relief and help with clean up. Contact Jennifer James jennjames@comcast.net to volunteer or sign your child up today.
FAMILY CHRISTMAS TREE
This year, in the Fellowship Hall, we will have a large, live tree to hold your special ornaments. We're inviting each member of our faith community to contribute one, non-breakable ornament to decorate this tree. Place your special ornament in the collection baskets around the church (December 2-9). We'll decorate the tree Wednesday, December 12!
CHRISTMAS PAGEANT VOLUNTEERS
We invite you to help with prop workdays, sewing or hemming costumes. Those who can volunteer as stage hands are needed for a two-hour rehearsal onSaturday, December 15 and the evening of the December 16 pageant.
