9:45 a.m. Church School for all ages; New Member's Class
Adult Class - This Sunday, January 27, our class will be led by Drew Stockstill, and his topic will be The Gospel of Matthew. Everyone is invited to join Morningside's Adult Sunday School class in Room 201 as we work through Matthew's gospel.

Children: The Preschool Class will hear about Jesus' meeting with a Samaritan woman in the story The Greatest Gift. Early Elementary Classes will read Ephesians 4:4-6 and talk about how we all are welcomed into God's family through our baptisms. 4th and 5th Graders will study the Confession/ Assurance as a part of Worship.

EARLY REGISTRATION FOR MPP IS HERE
Church members and returning families are invited to take advantage of priority registration for Morningside Presbyterian Preschool that begins today, January 22. Contact Preschool Director Sarah Tomaka mpp@morningsidepc.org for more information. Open registration begins Monday, February 4.

YOUTH GROUP RESUMES THIS SUNDAY
If you can provide a meal this spring for our active youth group, contact Youth Group Meal Coordinator Tish Woolley woolleyt@gmail.com. Tish is starting a new meal schedule from February 10 forward, and we would love to include your name!  


DINNER AT CLIFTON SANCTUARY MINISTRIES

MPC will serve dinner to the 30 men living at Clifton this Saturday, January 26, at 6 p.m. Please let Dave Johnston dmjohnst@hotmail.com know if you can help make needed dinner items (pork, green beans, rice, applesauce, & dessert). Food needs to be dropped off at Clifton by 5:30 p.m. that day, and dinner service by those interested in fellowship with the men is from 6 to 6:30 p.m. 

THINKING ABOUT JOINING MORNINGSIDE
Morningside will offer visitors the following opportunities to learn more about our church. On Sunday, February 3 we will hold an Inquirers Class followed by a New Members Class on Sunday, February 10. WOMENS ROUNDTABLE
This month's Womens Roundtable will be held at the home of Lynn Young (277 The Prado) on Monday, January 28 at 6:30 p.m.  Our speaker will be Erin Levin, a documentary filmmaker who is currently working on a film about the African Children's Choir.  RSVP to kimkperez@gmail.com.  We hope to see you there.

 

SOUPER BOWL OFFERING
MPC Youth will lead the Souper Bowl collection next Sunday, February 3 of your $2 donations to support local organizations to fight hunger. Our donation will go to Atlanta Community Food Bank.


CONGREGATIONAL LUNCH-FEBRUARY 3
Our congregational lunch menu will be: hearty chicken noodle, tomato basil and broccoli & cheese soups, roasted turkey and flank steak pinwheels, chicken salad sliders, green salad, French bread, and red velvet cake! Your RSVP is key to MPC being good stewards and ordering enough for our guests. Invite a friend and let the church office office@morningsidepc.org know by January 28!

MOVING ATLANTA TO HIGHER GROUND: HOW RELIGION INSPIRES POSITIVE CHANGE
Georgia State invites you to join the Higher Ground Group - Rev. Joanna Adams, Imam Plemon El-Amin, Rev. Joseph Roberts and Rabbi Alvin Sugarman - at the Rialto Center (80 Forsyth St., 30303) on Wednesday, February 6.  Higher Ground's faith leaders will discuss the ways that interfaith efforts can contribute to a better Atlanta.
