Adult Class - This Sunday, March 10, the class will continue their work through the gospel of Matthew. Everyone is invited to join Morningside's Adult Sunday School for the complete study or as your schedule permits.
Children: Preschool children will hear about two Sisters, Mary and Martha, in the story A Better Thing to Do. K-1st and 2-3rd grade classes will learn how a widow practices generosity. 4th and 5th graders will have a lesson on Communion.

MEMORIAL SERVICE
Ruthlyn Newell's memorial service will be in Morningside's sanctuary this morning, March 5, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall.

We are so proud of Joanna Adams, our Pastor Emerita, upon her selection to serve as the interim Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, beginning on Mothers' Day.
THEOLOGY ON TAP
The next meeting of the men of Morningside will be hosted by Brad Odom (2183 Ellwyn Drive, Chamblee, 30341) tonight, March 5, at 7 p.m. Mark your calendars, and RSVP to the church office office@morningsidepc.org.
OUTREACH IN NEW ORLEANS (MARCH 6-10)
Please keep those on the mission trip in your prayers - Shirley Adair, Roland Behm, Richard and Sarah Brownlee, Shawn Holoway, Todd Jones, Jack Klotz, Leslie and Lloyd Prince, Melinda Sandkam, Doug and Martha Selph and Raymond Tovo. These members and friends will continue work with Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans, an outreach of St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian.
COUPLES GROUP
The MPC Couples Group invites all couples to enjoy an informal evening with friends at La Taverna Plaka (Cheshire Bridge Rd.) at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
YOUNG ADULTS GATHER MARCH 9
If you are young at heart, you are invited to the Young Adults gathering at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at Brad Odom's home (2183 Ellwyn Dr., 30341). We need your voice as we look at ideas for our Young Adult group. Bring your imagination, ideas, passions, and calendars. RSVP to jbradleyodom@gmail.com.
LYDIA CIRCLE
Lydia Circle, a group of young female professionals and moms, welcomes members and visitors of MPC to join them on Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. at the home of Amanda Lewis (1363 Northview Ave., 30306). RSVP to Tara Parrish taraparrish@bellsouth.net.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Our annual Habitat for Humanity build with other area churches continues throughApril 13. Look for signup sheets on the Habitat bulletin board or contact Lynsley Tyler lynsley@bellsouth.net for details and join us when you can.
OUR HOUSE IN MARCH
Bring your gently used spring and summer children's clothing (infant-5 years) to the Welcome Center baskets through March 24 including diapers (all sizes) and wipes. Donations will go to Our House, a Decatur preschool for children facing homelessness. Our House is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a fundraiser onSaturday, March 16 at The Commerce Club. Buy your tickets on line atwww.ourhousega.org to support a great cause.
BE GREEN FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY WEEKEND (and the earth!)
On Saturday, March 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon MPP will partner with Atlanta Paint Disposal http://www.atlantapaintdisposal.com/ to collect and recycle or dispose of household items in an environmentally friendly manner. The collection site will be the preschool parking lot, and MPP will earn 15 percent profit of items collected. That profit will help fund preschool environmental projects.
CALL FOR MPC GARDENERS!
Grab your gardening gloves and a shovel and join us for a workday on the MPC grounds, Saturday, March 16, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. We'll be working primarily in the Sara Richey Garden and around the Welcome Center entrance.
EASTER EGG HUNT
Mark your calendars for our annual Easter Egg Hunt - "The Running of the Eggs!" - on Saturday, March 30. Activities begin at 10:45 a.m. (face painting, Easter masks and cookies, VBS registration) and the egg hunt begins 11 a.m. sharp!! We hope you will invite your neighbors. Donations of candy-filled eggs are needed by March 24, (no peanuts). Volunteers also needed! Contact Jennifer Jamesjennjames@comcast.net to volunteer.
