LYDIA CIRCLE
Lydia Circle, a group of young female professionals and moms, welcomes members and visitors of MPC to join them this Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. at the home of Amanda Lewis (1363 Northview Ave., 30306). RSVP to Tara Parrish (taraparrish @bellsouth.net). Lydia Circle will next meet in September, and we are looking for a new leader or co-leaders to step up before then.
BE GREEN FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY WEEKEND (AND THE EARTH!)
Next Saturday, March 16, 8 a.m. to 12 noon MPP will partner with Atlanta Paint Disposal http://www.atlantapaintdisposal.com/ to collect and recycle or dispose of household items in an environmentally friendly manner. The collection site will be the preschool parking lot, and MPP will earn 15 percent profit of items collected (cash, check and credit cards will be accepted). Grab your gardening gloves and a shovel and join us for a workday on the MPC grounds, next Saturday, March 16, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. We’ll be working primarily in the Sara Richey Garden and around the Welcome Center entrance.

Donations will go to Our House, a Decatur preschool for children facing homelessness. Our House is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a fundraiser next Saturday, March 16 at The Commerce Club. MARCH CLIFTON DINNER
MPC will host our March Clifton dinner for 30 men experiencing homelessness on Saturday, March 23 at 6 p.m. Sign up to bring part of the meal and help us serve it to these men who are working hard to turn their lives around! WOMEN’S ROUNDTABLE
The next meeting of Women's Roundtable will be Monday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Lynn Young's home (277 The Prado, 30309). Our speaker will be Nicole Cromartie, Coordinator of Museum Interpretation at the High Museum of Art. Nicole will speak to us about the museum's current and upcoming exhibits and touch on the exciting events and activities at the High. The evening should be most enjoyable! MPC AT THE BRAVES GAME!
Spring is approaching and that means baseball is here again! Jack Klotz has gotten some great seats for the Sunday, April 7 game against the Cubs (1:30 p.m.). 11 a.m. worship includes the waving of the palms by our children; the Lenten Youth Ensemble will sing; and the Chancel Choir will offer a selection from Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Our Mediterranean-style dinner begins at 6:15 p.m. followed by worship with communion in Fellowship Hall at 7 p.m. MPC’s Handbell Choir will present an arrangement of “On the Willows” from “Godspell” with vocals and accompaniment. Bring the kids to our annual “Running of the Eggs.” Activities begin at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday with face painting, Easter masks, cookies and Vacation Bible School signup. Bring your own baskets for the hunt which begins at 11 a.m. Support this community outreach by donating candy-filled-eggs (no peanuts) by March 24.
