Adult Class - This Sunday, March 17, the class will continue their work through the gospel of Matthew. Everyone is invited to join Morningside's Adult Sunday School for the complete study or as your schedule permits.
Children: Today the preschool class will hear the story of a meeting between Jesus and Zacchaeus. Early elementary classes will continue their discussion about generosity. 4th and 5th graders will have a lesson on Scripture as a component of Worship

LYDIA CIRCLE
Lydia Circle, a group of young female professionals and moms, welcomes members and visitors of MPC to join them this Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. at the home of Amanda Lewis (1363 Northview Ave., 30306). RSVP to Tara Parrish
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Our annual Habitat for Humanity build with other area churches continues through April 13. Look for signup sheets on the Habitat bulletin board or contact Lynsley Tyler lynsley@bellsouth.net for details and join us when you can.
OUR HOUSE IN MARCH
Bring your gently used spring and summer children's clothing (infant-5 years) to the Welcome Center baskets through March 24 including diapers (all sizes) and wipes. Donations will go to Our House, a Decatur preschool for children facing homelessness. Our House is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a fundraiser this Saturday, March 16 at The Commerce Club. Buy your tickets on line at www.ourhousega.org to support a great cause.
BE GREEN FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY WEEKEND (and the earth!)
This Saturday, March 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon MPP will partner with Atlanta Paint Disposal http://www.atlantapaintdisposal.com/ to collect and recycle or dispose of household items in an environmentally friendly manner. The collection site will be the preschool parking lot, and MPP will earn 15 percent profit of items collected. That profit will help fund preschool environmental projects. (cash, check and credit cards will be accepted). See poster on Mission bulletin board for prices and items.
CALL FOR MPC GARDENERS!
Grab your gardening gloves and a shovel and join us for a workday on the MPC grounds, this Saturday, March 16, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. We'll be working primarily in the Sara Richey Garden and around the Welcome Center entrance.
GEORGIA MARATHON-MARCH 17
The marathon and half marathon will take place in the cities of Atlanta and Decatur beginning at 7 a.m. The start and finish lines are located in Centennial Olympic Park. For more information on road closures in your area, go to http://www.georgiamarathon.com.
LGBT & FRIENDS
LGBT & Friends welcome all who wish to grow and be energized through Christian fellowship and service, and they invite you to join them next Tuesday, March 19 as Glenn Small leads the discussion - Families of the Family. The meeting will be at the home of Lloyd and Leslie Prince (91 Lakeview Dr., 30317) from 7 to 9 p.m. RSVP to Michael Siedschlag mwsiedschlag@gmail.com.
WOMEN'S ROUNDTABLE
The next meeting of Women's Roundtable will be Monday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Lynn Young's home (277 The Prado, 30309). Our speaker will be Nicole Cromartie, Coordinator of Museum Interpretation at the High Museum of Art. Nicole will speak to us about the museum's current and upcoming exhibits and touch on the exciting events and activities at the High. RSVP to Peyton Chambers at peytonchambers@icloud.com.
EASTER EGG HUNT
Mark your calendars and invite your neighbors for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30. Activities begin at 10:45 a.m. and the egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. sharp! Donations of candy-filled eggs are requested by March 24, (no peanuts). Volunteers also needed! Contact Jennifer James jennjames@comcast.net to volunteer.
