THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in spring-time.  ~Martin Luther

THEOLOGY ON TAP
The next Theology on Tap dinner and discussion for all men will be hosted by Ken Sharpe (1700 Timberland Rd., 30345) tonight, April 2 at 7 p.m., and the topic led by Baron Mullis will be "Is there such a thing as Christian Universalism? Is God going to save everybody, some of us or just 144,000?" RSVP to the church office office@morningsidepc.org.

INFORMATION MEETING-APRIL 7
The Outreach Foundation in Kenya works in partnership with the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, assisting presbyteries and congregations with their own outreach and development projects including building sanctuaries, schools, children's homes, hospitals, clinics, digging wells, and much more. A Morningside team could expect to spend time working on a building project with a local congregation, worship and fellowship together, experience and learn about the life of the church and community, and go on a safari to experience the Kenyan wildlife. There will be an information meeting to gauge interest this Sunday, April 7 at 12:15 in Room 201. Contact Tony Fishpaw with questions tonyfishpaw@me.com.

SEEKING A SHEPHERD
A shepherd is the title for those leading each of our outreach opportunities.  Many members support each effort but one member in particular coordinates the efforts and champions the needs of each outreach.  We currently have a vacancy for the shepherd for Journey (formerly named the Druid Hills Men's Shelter).  MPC has a long-standing relationship with Journey and the good work they do to empower men in finding a home and employment. Contact Community Outreach Chair Eleanor Attwood today eattwood74@yahoo.com to be our next Journey shepherd.

INTOWN COLLABORATIVE MINISTRIES
MPC will be collecting food for ICM's food pantry through April 28. ICM serves our neighbors most in need, those homeless or on the verge of homelessness. On a typical Saturday, ICM will provide food to 60 plus needy men and women. Please support this important neighborhood effort by donating foods suitable for the homeless such as pop top cans or microwavable containers. Hearty soups, ramen noodles, and canned meals are needed. Crackers are also much appreciated. Please bring your donated items to the Welcome Center baskets. For information, contact Nancy Collins at 678.634 4572; ncollins0209@gmail.com.

SUMMER DATES
