This Sunday, May 12, the class will continue their work through the gospel of Matthew. Everyone is invited to join Morningside's Adult Sunday School for the complete study or as your schedule permits.
Children: The Pre-K Class will hear the story A Ride in the Night and learn how Paul escaped from his enemies. Early Elementary Classes will read Matthew 28:16-20 to learn about The Great Commission. The Older Elementary Class will have a lesson on the Benediction as a component of worship.

The next Theology on Tap dinner and discussion for all men will be hosted by Peter Cobb (1150 St. Charles Place, 30306) tonight at 7 p.m., and the topic led by Baron Mullis will be "Why Pray?" RSVP to the church office office@morningsidepc.org.
COUPLES GROUP
The MPC Couples Group invites all couples to enjoy an informal evening with friends at the home of Bill and Sanda Means (1071 McLynn Avenue, 30306) this Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m. RSVP to the Bremers kdbremer@bellsouth.net.
ONE GRAY HAIR
One Gray Hair will meet for lunch and a program next Wednesday, May 15 at noon in Fellowship Hall. Our associate pastor, Drew Stockstill and his wife Ellen, will present a program on Kenya. Drew has visited Kenya on work/mission trips and Ellen lived in Kenya. This program will be of special interest to many of us as MPC looks at a mission trip to this country in the near future.
Congregational Lunch-May 19
Join us on Sunday, May 19 at the Congregational Lunch following worship. Suggested donation: $10, adult; $5, children. RSVP to the church office. If you can help with set up, serving and/or clean up, contact Hillery McNeill hmcneill@bellsouth.net.
LGBT & FRIENDS
LGBT & Friends will take a summer break after gathering at the home of Ann Bowers and Maria Ragland (568 Park Drive NE) on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. All are welcome to come and help kick around discussion topics for fall and winter meetings. RSVP to Michael Siedschlag michaelmspnyc@yahoo.com.
Support Seniors this Spring
Donate toilet paper, paper towels, canned meats, non-perishable microwavable meals, hearty soups, peanut butter and breakfast items through May 26 for the emergency pantry at Presbyterian Home for Seniors at Calvin Court. Place donated items in the Welcome Center baskets.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Register NOW for VBS June 17-21, 8:45 a.m.-12 noon with closing program on Friday at noon. Meet at the Marketplace is open to those who are 4 years old (by September 1) through the 5th grade with leadership roles available for Youth. The registration/volunteer form can be found on our website and bulletin boards at church. Deadline for registering is Sunday, May 26, so we can confirm enough volunteers and supplies. Our first VBS workday is 9 a.m.-12 noon next Wednesday, May 15. Contact Melinda Sandkam msandkam@morningsidepc.org to volunteer at any point and for additional details including scholarship information.
