THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
"Do a little bit of good wherever you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world." ~ Desmond Tutu

SPECIAL GUEST FOR ADULT EDUCATION
All are encouraged to join the Adult Sunday School class at 9:45 a.m. June 23 & 30 for a two part series led by special guest Melanie Johnson called 'Esther: Behind the Mask.' Melanie Johnson is a recent graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. student at Claremont School of Theology. She will guide the class in the first week through the Old Testament book of Esther's "revealed" story and in the second week explore Esther's hidden meanings. This class meets in Room 201 and welcomes all. No special knowledge required. No questions are bad questions.

WELCOME HOME BASKETS
On Sunday, June 23, we begin the collection of items to assemble baskets of household goods for the men of Clifton. They receive these baskets when they move into a new home and are able to fill their pantries and cabinets with essentials. Claim items from the display in the Welcome Center and bring them in by July 14. Contact Shepherds David or Katherine Johnston dmjohnst@gmail.com, kecjohnston@gmail.com with any questions.

"SING WITH THE CHOIR" SUNDAY JUNE 30
Ever wanted to sing with Morningside's Chancel Choir, but didn't think you had the time or the training? Well, here's your chance to join them for "Sing with the Choir" Sunday. About 10 guests will be chosen (first come, first serve) by emailing music@morningsidepc.org with your name. Those singing must attend one rehearsal on Wed., June 26 at 7:30 p.m. and arrive on Sunday, June 30 at 9:30 a.m., for a warmup/rehearsal before the 11:00 service. Wear a robe, process with the choir, and sing a hymn arrangement, plus a closing response. If you can carry a tune, you're in!

SUMMER YOGA
Yoga classes begin today, Tuesday, June 11 and continue each Tuesday through July 16. Veteran Yoga teacher, Pam Sharpe, invites you to join her fabulous band of students to explore the joys and benefits of a gentle yoga practice. Bend, extend, strengthen, and relax on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. in Room 201. All you need is comfy clothes. For more information contact Pam at yogapam@bellsouth.net.

MISSION CAMP
Our fifth year of It's Not All About Me Mission Camp is July 22-26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with an overnight adventure to Len Foote Hike Inn on Thursday. This hands-on experience with mission includes outreach to children and seniors, the environment and animals, and many who are facing hunger or homelessness here in Atlanta. With daily outings, we need lots of volunteers and also dedicated overnight leaders who are willing to hike in and out to Len Foote. Contact Melinda Sandkam.

SIX STAR
Six Star Refugee Partnership is in urgent need of a used vehicle for their newest family from the Congo. This is a wonderful couple coming to us via St. John's Lutheran Church, and the husband desperately needs transportation to his night job in Gwinnett County. If you can help, please contact Holly Campbell hollycampbell1@gmail.com.
