HYMN-SING SUNDAY, JULY 21
You are in charge of hymn selection this morning as we have the opportunity to call out our favorites for the congregation to sing.  So get ready to page through the hymnal for those melodies you love!

RHO READERS
Today you are invited to join our eclectic
co-ed group in the Session Room at 12:30 p.m. to discuss Sonny Brewer's novel The Poet of Tolstoy Park.  We will talk over the plot, the characters, and pretty much anything else.

MISSION CAMP
Twenty-nine children and youth will attend our fifth It's Not All About Me Mission Camp that begins tomorrow morning.  Set-up help is welcome this afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m.  Please keep these 8 through 15 year olds in your prayers as they travel around Atlanta engaging many people in our communities through different outreaches.  Swing by to have your car washed Tuesday morning, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Donations will be accepted for the Atlanta Humane Society.  Contact Melinda Sandkam if you are able to help with any last minute needs. We still need drivers for Wednesday (morning and all day). Please check your schedules. We hope you will join us for an ice cream social during Fellowship Hour next Sunday, July 28 when the Mission Camp attendees will share about their week.

CLIFTON MINISTRIES SUMMER DINNER
Please help us serve dinner to 30 men struggling with homelessness by picking a pan today, located in the Narthex, for food to serve next Saturday, July 27. If you can make a portion of our spaghetti dinner menu and deliver it to the shelter by 5:30 p.m. that day or want to help us serve until 6:30 p.m., please sign up on the Mission bulletin board. Contact David Johnston dmjohnst@hotmail.com with questions or to arrange drop off of items beforehand.

HANDBELL CHOIR
Our Handbell Choir will begin a new season on Thursday, September 5 with rehearsals each Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m., and you are invited to ring with the choir!  If you are interested or for more information contact Jeff Peters at 404.731.9291, jeffcpeters@gmail.com.

COMING ATTRACTIONS!
Join us on Friday, August 2, at 7:30 p.m. for a free concert with our famed pianist/member Mac Frampton. Donations will be accepted for the MPC Music Library. Invite a neighbor or bring a friend. For more information visit www.macframpton.com.

INTOWN COLLABORATIVE MINISTRIES
ICM provides a range of comprehensive services to our neighbors, including a food pantry (located at Druid Hills Methodist) which operates to provide the basic necessities of food to our homeless neighbors. ICM’s Pantry is supported by MPC and other congregations, individuals, businesses, and organizations in zip codes 30306/30307. From August 4-25, MPC will collect the following foods for the pantry: canned and boxed meals (stew, noodle bowls, chili, etc.); crackers; and sugar packets. Please bring your donated items to Welcome Center to help your neighbors in need.  Contact Nancy Collins ncollins0209 @gmail.com, 404.804.5191 with questions.

CHURCH OFFICE
MPC is looking for an office volunteer each Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. to work the desk. Duties include answering the phone, greeting the congregation/preschool community, receiving deliveries, and some light clerical work. Four volunteers could job-share and be responsible for one Tuesday a month.  If you would like to volunteer, please give Anna a call at 404.876.7396.

SUNDAY SCHOOL KICK OFF
The first week of August, many of the children at MPC start back to school!  Here at Morningside, we begin our Sunday school year the following Sunday, August 11 at 9:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to this hour of fun, with light breakfast items. Crafts, dress-up corner, and Jonah’s whale promise lots of fun. The kids will also participate in some outreach projects and hear details for children's choirs this year. Contact Jill Davis jdavis@tuxox.com, if you can help.

SANCTUARY FLOWERS
A flower calendar is posted on the bulletin board in the hallway outside the Session Room, and if you wish to give flowers in honor or in memory of a loved one, we invite you to write your name and phone number next to the desired date. It is possible to share a date with other members if you want to give one arrangement or you may sign up alone to give both arrangements. Contact Anna Best in the church office office@morningsidepc.org for more information.

SAVE THE DATE!
It’s not too soon to mark off October 25-27 on your calendar and plan to get away to cool and lovely Montreat, NC, for our fifth annual all-church retreat featuring speaker Tom Long!  Each year, it’s been an event to remember for the whole family.  Watch for details in the next couple of months. Contact Mary Chapman with any questions chapman. maryv@gmail.com.
