THE CALL TO CONFESSION

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Most gracious God, we are ever mindful that in our best deeds as well as our worst, there is sin. We are unable to live fully for you and fully for our neighbors. We fall short, on a daily basis, of your calling before us. And yet, you call us, who are ourselves lost, to work for the reconciliation of the world, to be agents of shalom, to bring peace. Most gracious God, we need to be re- newed and refreshed in our work. We need to be reminded of the great good news of grace in Jesus Christ. So be in our living and in our lives that we may be strengthened to serve as your disciples. We ask all these things in Jesus’ name and for his sake, Amen.

A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)
