THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again. - Nelson Mandela

FAMILY CHRISTMAS EVE AT 4 P.M.
Any 2nd-5th grader who would like to participate in the 4 p.m. Family Christmas Eve Service should contact Program Director Melinda Sandkam by this Wednesday, December 11. You must be able to attend a 3 to 5 p.m. practice on Monday, December 23 and arrive at 2:45 p.m. on December 24. There are roles in the tableau to join "Mary and baby Jesus" and opportunities to read liturgy.

SPECIAL MUSIC SUNDAY - DECEMBER 15
As the season of Advent dawns, and decorations go up in houses, businesses, and here at Morningside, the Chancel Choir is preparing a special program of music for this Sunday - rather than the hanging of the greens, we will present The Singing of the Greens, a selection of Advent and Christmas carols that draw on images from the natural world. Spanning music from the 14th through 20th centuries, and featuring our quartet of soloists, the Morningside Handbell Ensemble, and the incomparable Sarah Martin on the organ, we hope this bouquet of musical treats will fill you with the wonder and joy of Advent
