* THE CALL TO WORSHIP

* THE PROCESSIONAL HYMN 429 Lord, You Give the Great Commission

THE CALL TO CONFESSION

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Holy God, you planted a garden in Creation and fashioned a people from the
dust. With grace and compassion, you gave us all life and declared all that you
made good. By becoming one of us in Jesus, you showed us how much you love
all your people. You chose what is weak in the world and declared it blessed.
Loving God, we confess that we have not truly trusted the love you have for us
and for all your people and have not fully shared your love with others in need.
Forgive us God, soften our hearts, heal our wounds and restore us to life so that
if we boast we boast in you. Amen.

A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)

THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Leader: Friends, hear the good news:
People: As far as the east is from the west, so far has God removed our sins
from us.
Leader: Believe the good news of the Gospel:
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!
