Adults: We continue our series on "Reading the Bible for Understanding." Does the Bible seem too hard to understand? Do you feel like you're missing something about these ancient texts? Ever wonder how to talk about scripture in a world that seems to be so divided by "what the Bible says?" Everyone is invited to the adult Sunday school class to explore the different types of literature in the Bible and some tools for interpreting scripture. Bring your questions, bring your thoughts, bring your brain, and bring your heart. All are welcome! We meet in
Room 201.

Children: The story Adam and Eve introduces preschoolers to what happened when God added humans to Creation. All elementary classes will study Paul's message in Philippians that we are to live filled with joy and peace. .

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.
- Henri J.M. Nouwen, The Road to Daybreak: A Spiritual Journey
