Adults: A NEW ADULT CLASS IN RM 107 This Sunday, September 29, we will start a 10-week class using the History Channel mini-series "The Bible" at 9:15 a.m. We will watch one episode together and then at 10 a.m. we will have a guided discussion on the episode, what the Bible says, and what God might be saying to us today. This is a very approachable class and a great way to engage the Bible story anew or for the very first time. All are welcome.

The class in Rm 201 will continue their series on "Reading the Bible for Understanding" at 9:45 a.m. where we learn new tools for reading and understanding Scripture. Everyone is invited to the adult Sunday school class. Bring your questions, bring your thoughts, bring your brain, and bring your heart. All are welcome!"

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
The physical voice we use in prayer need not be great nor startling; even should we not lift up any great cry or shout, God will yet hear us. - Origen

FOOD TRUCK THURSDAY
We invite you to come out this Thursday, September 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. when food trucks will be in the MPC parking lot! Bring your camping chairs and picnic blankets and enjoy the food from Atlanta Burger and On Tapa The World. For dessert we will have popsicles, and the first 100 King of Pop popsicles are free! Don't miss the fun!

CLIFTON DINNER
We need food for 25 men at the shelter for our first fall dinner this Saturday, September 28 from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Please sign up on the bulletin board or with David Johnston dmjohnst@gmail.com if you can bring an item (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, and dessert) or if you can help serve. After serving dinner, we invite you to go out to dinner with us (always a fun activity).

LAST BRAVES GAME
It's coming up fast, and we have a few group seats left for the final game on Sunday, September 29 at 1:30 p.m. We'll be in the upper box and if you would like to attend with the Morningside group, contact Katherine Johnston kecjohnston@gmail.com.

ICM CLEANING SUPPLIES COLLECTION
We can help residents of Briarcliff Summit Food Co-op (supported by Intown Collaborative Ministries) as they move into their renovated apartments by supplying them with cleaning supplies. Please see a list of requested items in the Welcome Center, and put your donations in the baskets through this Sunday, September 29.

WOMENS ROUNDTABLE
MPC Women's Roundtable will resume next Monday, September 30, at 6:30 p.m. We'll meet at Neiman Marcus (Designer II/Dress Collections, Level Two, Lenox Mall) for what is sure to be a wonderful presentation on fall fashion trends and styling tips. Neiman's is hosting our group for this fun-filled evening complete with light bites and beverages. Please email Sarah Brownlee rsbrownlee1046@att.net if you can attend.
