9:30 a.m. Coffee and Conversation

Adults: This Sunday, we will take a small break. Regular classes resume Sunday, November 3.

Children: This Sunday, The Pre-K class will hear about the wonderful way God kept Baby Moses safe as they listen to Safe in a Basket. K-1, 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th grade classes discover God's messenger Micah's three rules for Godly Living.

MPC YOUTH LOCK-IN
Our annual lock-in will be from 6 p.m. this Friday, October 25 through 8 a.m. Saturday, October 26. After pizza, a corn maze, bonfire, hayride and all-night movies and games, we will not meet the following Sunday evening. RSVP to Chris Peters to attend.

INTERFAITH CHILDREN'S MOVEMENT
There is one space left at Morningside's table for the Interfaith Children's Movement prayer breakfast this Wednesday, October 23 at 7:30 a.m. Joanna Adams is the keynote address. The first person to reach Anna Best gets it!

FOOD TRUCKS
Once again, all are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. for Food Trucks here in the MPC parking lot. Spread the word for this Thursday, October 24. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy an easy dinner.

KEEP IN YOUR PRAYERS
All of our MPC members and friends traveling to Montreat, North Carolina for the All Church Retreat this weekend.

WOMEN'S ROUNDTABLE
Women's Roundtable will meet next Monday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Lynn Young (277 The Prado NE, 30309). We will eat, drink, visit, catch up, and get organized for the year. Drew Stockstill will be our guest and will facilitate our discussion. Please bring your thoughts, ideas and enthusiasm! RSVP to Sarah Brownlee rsbrownlee1046@att.net, 404.876.3572.

MPP DINE OUT
The first dine-out of the school year will be next Tuesday, October 29 from 5 to 10 p.m. at El Taco (1186 N. Highland, 404.873.4656). Reservations for any size group are encouraged and please be sure to mention MPP so that 20 percent of the proceeds will go to our preschool community.

ALL SAINTS' OBSERVANCE - NOVEMBER 3
All Saints' Day is a day of observance in the liturgical calendar of the church in which we celebrate the lives of those whose race is run, who have kept the faith, and whose witness lives on among us in the communion of the saints. In our communion liturgy, those who passed from this life this year will be remembered with thanksgiving to God for their lives and witnesses. If there are friends or family who died in the last year whose names you would like remembered in this prayer on All Saints' Day, please contact the church office.

MPC GIVES THANKS FOR OUR PRESCHOOL COMMUNITY
Come explore the spirit of giving at our annual Thanksgiving Gathering, Monday, November 11 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Join us for dinner in Fellowship Hall and stay for face painting, crafts, and games. Help kick off our Atlanta Community Food Bank food drive by bringing in non-perishable items. RSVPs are requested by November 7 for this free event! MPC members are encouraged to volunteer for the whole event or one of three shifts: Shift 1 - Setup (4-5:15 p.m.); Shift 2 - Serving food and leading activities (5:15-6:30 p.m.); and Shift 3 - Cleanup (6:15-7:30 p.m.). CONGRATULATIONS TO
Our newly elected 2014 elders: Beth Baer, Will Barnette, Lisa Jern, Jack Klotz, Bobbie McCrackin, and Duncan Spears. And, to our newly elected 2014 deacons: Shirley Adair, Sandy Jones, Sarah Mercer Chatel, Robin Hackney, Peter Tuuk, and Nathan Zook. Also elected at last Sunday's congregational meeting was Ann Bowers, Tom Daniel, and Lloyd Prince as our 2014 Officer Nominating Committee.

ATLANTA MARATHON
The Atlanta Marathon will be run this Sunday, October 27. Before leaving for church, please go to their website www.atlantamarathon.com to see if the marathon route will be in your neighborhood.
