THINKING ABOUT JOINING MPC
Morningside will offer visitors the following opportunity to learn more about our church. This Sunday, November 17, we will hold a New Members Class in the Session Room at 9:45 a.m. For more information or to register, contact Baron Mullis 404.876.7396, ext. 11; baron.mullis@morningsidepc.org.
RHO READERS WELCOME LOCAL AUTHOR
Long-time Atlantans and fans of fast, funny mysteries know that New York Times best-selling author Mary Kay Andrews lives here, is a former reporter for the Journal-Constitution, and originally was published under her real name, Kathy Hogan Trocheck. She'll answer questions, sign books and discuss her first novel, Every Crooked Nanny this Sunday, November 17. Everyone is welcome and invited to join our eclectic co-ed book group for this discussion, whether affiliated or not with MPC. However, because of the author's popularity, we ask you to RSVP to Daisy Ottmann dazette@bellsouth.net by November 15.
ANNUAL CANNED FOOD COLLECTION
This Sunday, November 17, our annual collection of non-perishable items for the Atlanta Community Food Bank begins. Mac 'n cheese, peanut butter, canned veggies, meats, fruits and low sugar whole grain cereals are welcome. Help us fill our five canisters as we enjoy an abundance ourselves throughout the holidays.
LGBT & FRIENDS
LGBT & Friends welcomes representatives from CHRIS Kids, Lost-n-Found Youth and SAGE to facilitate next Tuesday, November 19 program "Giving Back to Others." The meeting, including dinner, will be at the home of Rob Payne, 1100 Balmoral Drive 30319. All are welcome. RSVP to lgbtandfriends@morningsidepc.org.
FOOD TRUCKS
We will enjoy one last Food Truck event this fall on Thursday, November 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. Beat the sunset and join us early. There will be free S'mores! Spread the word to your neighbors. This is an easy stop on the way home to grab dinner. Contact Drew Stockstill to help with setup or cleanup.
